Affected By Crime

A criminal act can be defined as an offence against the law of the Territory, State or Nation. Examples include sexual assault, physical assault, robbery, kidnapping, road rage, theft. People who are affected by crime react differently and this can often relate to the severity and type of criminal act as well as the proximity of the individual to the act and the perpetrator.

Individuals are not the only ones affected by crime. Family, friends, bystanders and witnesses can all be affected by a criminal act and their lives can all be impacted.
